Water Treatment Plant

The primary task of the Water Treatment Plant is to operate and maintain the Water Treatment Plant, raw water pump station, two booster pump stations, and four elevated storage tanks.  The Operators at the Water Treatment Facility are committed to the safety and health of our community’s water supply. 

LABRATORY SERVICES

The City of Sault Ste. Marie Water Treatment Facility houses a State of Michigan Certified Laboratory for the analysis of Coliform and E. Coli Bacteria. The Laboratory works with the Chippewa County Health Department for collection and analysis of these samples. There is a charge for this service.
