Bill Pay and Utility Services

The Utility Billing Department provides support for water and sewer accounts and offers multiple convenient payment options. Residents can manage services, get account help, and enroll in electronic billing and automatic payments.

Utility Billing Services

Citizens may visit the Utility Billing Department to:

  • Set up Water/Sewer Services

  • Enroll in AutoPay or E-Billing

  • Request assistance with online payments

  • Order final meter reads to discontinue water service

  • Change the name on an account or open a new account (ID required)

  • Ask questions about a water bill or request account history

  • Report meter read issues, high usage concerns, or request leak adjustments

  • Report interrupted water service for an unknown reason

  • Arrange reinstatement if service has been disconnected due to late payment

Services are available in person or by phone through the City of Sault Ste. Marie Utility Billing Office.
