The City of Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department was established in 1884. Our fire department provides fire protection, technical rescue, and emergency medical services throughout the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
The mission of the City of Sault Ste Marie Fire and Ambulance Department is to preserve and enhance the quality of life for it's citizens and visitors. They are committed to providing the highest level of emergency medical services, fire protection, rescue, public education, and protection of life, property, and the environment.
