PURPOSE
The City of Sault Ste. Marie (The City) seeks to implement a cost-effective program of preventive maintenance to maximize the useful service life of the local bridges under its jurisdiction. The City recognizes that limited funds are available for improving the bridge network. Preventive maintenance is a more effective use of these funds than the costly alternative of major rehabilitation or replacement, and we seek to identify those bridges that will benefit from a planned maintenance program.
