Campgrounds

The City of Sault Ste. Marie has two campgrounds.

Aune Osborn Campground lies along 20 acres of waterfront property on the lower St.Mary’s River.  The western end of the park houses 100 modern campsites (water & electricity).  The eastern end of the park is used for special events, boat launches, Fireworks watching, and sightseeing on the St.Mary’s River. The campground is in an excellent location to watch the lake freighters as they make their way to and from the Soo Locks.

Sherman Park Campground is a 68.7-acre park located on the upper St. Mary's River.  This campground is fully modernized with water, electricity, and sewer. There is a playground for all ages, a pavilion to rent, and a beautiful beach to relax and watch the freighters.
