The Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation is dedicated to bringing prosperity to the City through economic growth in all industries with the expansion of current businesses and the attraction of new ones. They help entrepreneurs take ideas and turn them into realities, and facilitate the process of creating something entirely new, or helping an existing business grow. Meeting Schedule
Meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm in the EDC Board Room at the Smartzone. Meetings can be cancelled or rescheduled, if necessary. The Board meetings are governed by the latest edition of Roberts’ Rules of Order.

Membership and Term
The board consist of nine (9) members appointed by the Mayor with City Commission confirmation. All members serve six (6) year terms and must be a City resident.
