Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals primarily hears and decides cases where a property owner feels that the strict application of the zoning ordinance causes them an undue hardship. Where the Board finds that an undue hardship exists, they have the authority to relax the zoning ordinance requirements.
The Zoning Board of Appeals also has the ability to interpret unclear portions of the zoning ordinance as well as decide cases where a member of the public wishes to contest a staff-level interpretation of the zoning ordinance.
This board meets 3rd Thursday of the month or when necessary at 5:30 PM in the Commission Chambers at City Hall.
